The College of Engineering Science has four Departments: "Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science", "Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Life Science", "Architecture, Infrastructure, Ocean Engineering and Ecosystem Science" and "Mathematics, Physics, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science". The college develops human resources that actively make contributions to society with their skills and leaderships.
Department of Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science
The department off ers two educational programs: mechanical engineering program and materials science and engineering program. Both programs train students to fl exibly take part in research, development, design, and production of high-technology products such as engines, fl uid machinery, vehicles, airplanes, computers, robots, and energy systems. The department produces professional engineers and high quality research contributing to improved safety and comfort to our society.
Department of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Life Science
The department aims to train students who are expected to play active roles in various fi elds, with a broad knowledge of fundamental and applied chemistry, chemical engineering, and modern biology. To achieve the educational goal, the department off ers a lot of basic and interdisciplinary lectures, practical exercises, and high level research experiences during the undergraduate course.
Department of Architecture, Infrastructure, Ocean Engineering and Ecosystem Science
The department trains students to be actively involved in the subjects of architecture, infrastructure, ocean engineering and ecosystem science which are the bases of our urban system and the environment.
Department of Mathematics, Physics, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science
The department seeks students with a deep understanding of mathematics and physics and the passion to apply it creatively to develop new ideas in science and technology. We also welcome students who strive for a better future through the active pursuit of electrical engineering and computer science. Talented students with a strong interest in these areas of study should fi nd our curriculum intellectually challenging and engaging.
