Admission Fees Waivers

Undergraduate Students

This system waives all or half of the admission fees of selected applicants when the payment of admission fees is deemed extremely difficult because the person primarily responsible for the applicant’s educational expenses died, or that person or the applicant suffered wind, flood or other damages from natural disaster within a year prior to admissions.

Graduate Students

This system waives all or half of the admission fees of selected applicants when the payment of admission fees is deemed difficult because of economic reasons and the applicant has outstanding academic performance, or when the payment of admission fees is deemed extremely difficult because the person primarily responsible for the applicant’s educational expenses died, or that person or the applicant suffered wind, flood or other damages from natural disaster within a year prior to admissions.

Admissions Fees Deferments

Undergraduate & Graduate Students

This system defers the collection of admission fees of selected applicants when the payment of admission fees is deemed difficult because of economic reasons, or because the person primarily responsible for the applicant’s educational expenses died, or that person or the applicant suffered wind, flood or other damages from natural disaster within a year prior to admissions.

Tuition Waivers and Deferments

Undergraduate & Graduate Students

This system waives (all or half) or defers payment of the tuition each semester of selected applicants when the payment of tuition is deemed difficult because of economic reasons and the applicant has outstanding academic performance, or when the payment of tuition is deemed extremely difficult because the person primarily responsible for the applicant’s educational expenses died, or that person or the applicant suffered wind, flood or other damages from natural disaster within six months (one year prior for new students) prior to payment of tuition.

In principle, students enrolled at the university beyond the minimum period required for course completion are not eligible for tuition waivers or deferments. However, when there are special reasons (such as taking a leave of absence and going to study abroad for over six months), exemptions may be granted (up to one year beyond the minimum period required for course completion) depending on the circumstances. Please confirm your eligibility with the Financial Support Section, Student Support Division in case you plan to take a leave of absence or go study abroad.

Please note that students planning to take extended absences or complete their courses during the semester are not eligible.

Please contact the Financial Support Section of the Student Support Division in cases wind, flood or other damages or special circumstances occurred after the application period. Note that tuition waivers and deferments will not be given for the semester when such circumstances arise after payment has been made.
All information admissions fees and tuition waivers and deferments is posted on the bulletin boards of the Student Center and of each college and graduate school as well as the website of the Student Support Division.
