To all freshmen and their parents/guardians

Tohoku District -off the Pacific Ocean Earthquake has been causing an unprecedented catastrophe. We would like to express our sincere condolence on the loss of so many precious lives. We would also like to convey our sincere sympathy to the afflicted people and pray for early recovery of the affected areas.

In light of the serious damages caused by the disaster, Yokohama National University reluctantly cancelled the entrance ceremony scheduled to be held at Yokohama Cultural Gymnasium at 10:00 on April 7, 2011. We are very sorry to announce this to the freshmen and their parents who have were looking forward to attending the ceremony with high hopes and expectations; your kind understanding is appreciated.
