Signing Ceremony for Memorandum of Understanding Between YNU and UNU
On Thursay, April 5, 2012, the signing ceremony of Memorandum of Understanding was held with the United Nations University.
Professor Kunio Suzuki(President),Professor Kazuhisa Matsuoka(Executive Director)and other 8 professors attended from Yokohama National University.
Professor Govindan Parayil (Vice-Rector) and Dr. Jose Antonio Puppim de Oliveira (Assistant Director and Senior Research Fellow) attended from the United Nations University.
With this agreement, YNU and UNU are expected to promote mutual collaboration in the areas of education and research.
President Suzuki expressed high expectation to the further evolution and impacts of the comprehensive agreement saying “this YNU-UNU cooperation agreement is strategically important for YNU to play a more proactive role in the international stage, and I hope that YNU students and faculty members will demonstrate leadership through enhanced interaction with international colleagues”.
