10月31日（金）、38名の留学生が参加し、防災体験とスカイツリー・浅草ツアーを実施しました。最初は、いつどこで起こるか分からない災害について体験しながら学習する「池袋防災館」へ。大規模地震が発生した状況をリアルに再現した防災映画を鑑賞し、災害時、自分が何をし、何が出来るのかを学びました。また、煙コーナーでは、煙の中を低い姿勢で避難する訓練、地震コーナーでは、実際に震度７の揺れを体験し、頭を守りながらテーブルの下に隠れる訓練をしました。

At first, we went to the Ikebukuro Disaster Prevention Center to learn how to　protect ourselves against the disaster. We watched a documentary film on the Great East Japan Earthquake and learned what to do and what can be done in case of a disaster. We also experienced the terror of a intensity 7 earthquake and learned how to escape from a room filled with smoke.

次は、浅草散策。有名な浅草寺本堂をはじめ、日本で最も古い商店街の一つである仲見世は通りでは、宝蔵門から雷門までの間に並ぶ商店を見て回りました。散策後、「雷おこし作り」を体験。自分で作った温かい雷おこしは格別においしかったです。

Next, we went to Asakusa and visited the Sensoji-temple and Nakamise Street that is one of the oldest shopping streets in Japan. There, the students were fascinated to see an interesting variety of shops selling traditional goods on the street. After sightseeing, we could experience how to make “Kaminari-Okoshi”, a traditional Japanese rice snack.

最後は、2011年に世界一高いタワーとしてギネスに認定された東京スカイツリーへ。ハロウィーンで飾られた館内には、タッチパネル式大型モニターや江戸時代の絵師によって描かれた屏風など留学生の目を引くものも多く、最高の景色とともに写真を撮るなどそれぞれが普段見ることの出来ない、眺めのいい東京の夜景を満喫しました。
日本の一部を見るいい機会となった見学旅行となりました。

And finally, we made it to the Tokyo Skytree which, in 2011, was recognized by the Guinness World Records as “the tallest tower in the world”. There was the folding screen depicting the cityscape of Edo created by an artist during the Edo period and were also three 52-inch monitors with easy-to-understand guidance on a touch-panel display for the tourist with Halloween decoration on the 350th floor. We enjoyed breathtaking panoramas of the Tokyo landscape.
It was a great opportunity to see a piece of cool Japan!
