Shine Mongol High School (Mongolia) Visited YNU

On Monday, March 30, 2015, Doctor Prevsuren Naranbayar, Principal of Shine Mongol High School (SMHS hereafter, Mongolia), visited YNU.

Shine Mongol High School has been sponsored and aided by many Japanese volunteers to be established at Ulaanbaatar, the capital of the country, in 2000. Normally, the high school curriculum takes 2 years in Mongolia; however, NMHS takes 3 years until graduation, including Japanese education and other Japanese-style study conditions. Many students hope to study at universities in Japan or have some relationship even after their graduation. In the last October, faculty members and administrative staff of YNU visited SMHS to have a discussion on enrollment and study at YNU for the current and graduated SMHS students.

Ms. Khaltarkhuu Ariunjargal (Graduate School of Environment & Information Sciences), a student from Mongolia who also participated in the visit to SMHS and Mr. Duurenjargar Bilguun (College of Economics), a student from SMHS, attended and guided YNU for the Principal. At the Conference Room No.2, Administrative Bureau, Executive Director and Vice President YAMADA Hitoshi, Dean of Faculty of Urban Innovation NAKAMURA Fumihiko, International Strategy Organization Professor OGAWA Yoshimi who had participated in the business trip to Mongolia, and International Office Senior Staff Ms. NAGAI Miwa welcomed them to hold a luncheon meeting with Japanese-style lunch boxes. YNU invites SMHS students supported by the Japan-Asia Youth Exchange Program in Science (SAKURA Exchange Program in Science) conducted by JST (Japan Science and Technology Agency) this summer, so people discussed practical places and institutions for visit and fact-finding.

Modification and improvement of enrollment and other issues for students from foreign countries is successively implemented by the institutions of acceptance.
