YNU participated in ‘Study in Japan Fair’ (Brazil)

YNU participated in ‘Study in Japan Fair’ (Brazil) organized by Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO), held on September 8th in Sao Paulo, and the 10th in Recife.
Professor of College of Education and Human Sciences Keiichiro Yoshida, Section Chief of Educational affairs division Koji Yonemura, Administrative Staff of International Office Nao Arimitsu and Yokohama National University Branch Officer/ Professor of University of Sao Paulo André Riyuiti HIRAKAWA participated in the events.
In Sao Paulo, and Recife, both fairs were filled with excitement from beginning to end, drew a big crowd. The YNU booth attracted about 90 students in Sao Paulo while about 150 students visited our booth in Recife. Some of the students who came to our booth directly asked us questions in Japanese. We could understand that students were highly motivated to learn Japanese, and that they strongly hoped to study in Japan despite the fact that Brazil is far from Japan. Overall we were very impressed to attend at both fairs. In Sao Paolo, many faculty and students from University of Sao Paulo, and Potifical Catholic University of Parana, which are under the Inter-University Exchange Agreement with YNU, visited our booth. As the venue in Recife was Federal University of Pernambuco, which is also under the Inter-University Exchange Agreement with YNU, some of the students had a certain knowledge of our university. We received a lot of specific questions from those students who were hoping to study at YNU.
