Participating in Volunteer Activities at Disaster-Stricken Area after Kumamoto Earthquake

Following the Kumamoto Earthquake, some students are expected to participate in volunteer activities at earthquake stricken area during the holidays in early May. However, it is necessary to take cautious reaction in some cases regarding that aftershocks are still continuing.
Students are asked to track the latest information from the affected area, and follow the directions below while participating in volunteer activities.

1. YNU students are advised to secure their safety as priority when participating in volunteer activity.

2. Students are advised to buy a volunteer insurance to prepare for any unexpected contingency.

3. Students shall be able to receive contact from the university at all times.

4. Before participating in volunteer activities, students are advised to track the latest information of the affected area, and plan the activity deliberately by consulting the local volunteer center or any other reliable organization for further advice.

5. Students shall submit a notification form to the office of undergraduate / graduate school with the following format.
