(Notice) The New Academic Calendar from 2017

YNU will introduce a new system of academic calendar from 2017 academic year.

First, a “Term System” will be adapted to the new academic year. While the current semester system will be maintained, the academic year will be divided into six terms, which is spring (first half), spring (second half), summer break, fall (first half), fall (second half), and spring break. Under the semester system, one class will be held for 16 weeks (15 lectures and 1 examination) during one semester while under the term system, one class including lecture and examination will be held for 8 weeks during one term.

Second, classes will be held during some public holidays. For 2017 academic year, classes on July 17th (Mon., Marine Day) and October 9th (Mon., Sports Day) will be held.

While most of classes are planned to be held under the current semester system for 2017, students are advised to check the course guide and class timetable for further detail which will be released from each College later.
