What we ask you to do in case Influenza A spreads in Japan
[when our students and staff are not infected]

To all students and staff

We are concerned by the possible outbreak of Influenza A in Japan, especially within 10 days from the last day of Golden Week (i.e. May 10).

Should the outbreak occur in Japan, we ask you to do the following things.

  • On holidays and weekends, please refrain from coming to university unless there is urgent need.
  • Please measure your body temperature every morning, and if the temperature is over 37.5 degrees, do not come to university.
  • If you suspect an infection, consult a health center of Yokohama city or of Kanagawa prefecture on the phone, and visit one of the designated medical center if necessary. Please ask them for advice when you should come back to study or work.

*Please note that Health Service Center is not a designated medical center. It means that we cannot, unfortunately, provide you medical care. Thank you very much for your understanding.
