| To all students and staff On June 6th (Sat), the City of Yokohama announced that a man living in Yokohama infected Influenza A (H1N1). According to the announcement, however, the possibility of wide spread of infection is very law as the infected man’s sphere of activity was limited. At the moment, we are not considering of any class cancellation or campus closure. Nor are we thinking of requesting you to refrain from holding any sort of events. We would like you to keep on paying attention to the information provided by Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare and Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as to follow the instructions provided below in order to respond to the flu appropriately. We will continue to collect information, deliberate appropriate responses, and make announcements. Please be attentive to the information provided on our website and Student Information Systems, for we may announce class cancellation, campus closure, and so on. ◆ Information from YNUPlease check our website with frequency as we will update the flu related information on it. ◆ Collecting InformationPlease make an effort to collet information on the flu from the website like listed below and the mass media. ◆ Countermeasures against infectionPlease take following prevention measures:
◆ Request for measuring body tempreturePlease measure your body tempreture every day before coming to YNU. If your tempreture is over 37.5 degrees and you have a sore throat, nasal mucus, and coughs, please follow the instructions as below. ◆ If the symptems of the flu appearsIf the symptoms of the flu (eg. high tempreture and coughs) appears, please consut the nearest High-Fever Consultation Center or the Public Health and Welfare Center and contact the following divisoin.
