- Transition Economy Program -


The fourth cohort of the Transition Economy Program in the International Graduate School of Social Sciences completed their program.

At the commencement held on August 5 all of ten scholars in this program were awarded MBA degrees in the attendance of Ms. Tamami Matsuka, Deputy Director of International Organization Division of Ministry of Finance and Ms. He Qi, Assistant Director of the Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific of IMF which sponsors this program.

Professor Mizoguchi, Vice President of Yokohama National University and other professors celebrated their graduation.

We are confident that the scholars will contribute to the ministries or national banks of their home countries using the knowledge and technique gained at Yokohama National University.


Matriculation on Oct. 1, 2009

Commencement on Aug. 5, 2009

On October 1, the Matriculation for the ten new scholars who make up the fifth cohort was held.

All the professors welcomed them encouraging their study and research for two years at Yokohama National University.

The countries of the ten scholars are as follows: Bangladesh 1, Cambodia 1, China 2, Indonesia 2, Kazakhstan 1, Kyrgyz Republic 1 and Uzbekistan 2.

We hope that their stay in Japan will be a significant one and that they will complete their program successfully.
