| Rector of University of Transport and Communications (Hanoi, Vietnam) visits YNU ![]() |

On April 17th, Rector Tran Dac Su, Director of International Cooperation Department Dr. Thai Ha Phi and Director Pham Duy Huu from the University of Transport and Communications (Hanoi) visited President Iida, Vice-Prseidnet Kisugi, Vice-President Suzuki and Faculty of Environment and Information Sciences Prof. Hitoshi Yamada. The University of Transport and Communications was established in 1945, with two campuses located in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam. With approximately 25,000 students and 1,000 faculties, the main departments are civil engineering, mechanical engineering, transportation economics, and especially among them, the civil engineering department is considered to produce the best talents with many graduates making valuable contributions to the country’s infrastructure development. At the meeting, Rector Tran Dac Su expressed his appreciation to YNU for accepting many students from Vietnam and mentioned that Vietnamese graduates from YNU are very valuable to their country and would like to maintain good relationships between each other. In return, YNU expressed to discuss positively about the future student and faculty exchanges. This visit is expected to be the starting point for the development on future relationship between both universities.
