Minesawa International Student Dormitory

Surrounded by the natural environment, the Minesawa International Student Dormitory is located close to the YNU campus (five-minute walk). The dormitory comprises a male student residence hall, a female student residence hall, and a common service hall. The common service hall is equipped with a lounge, meeting room, toilets, and separate laundry rooms for men and women.

Eligibility for residence
Japanese students: Undergraduate and graduate students who meet the standards of economic conditions.
*Priority is given to newcomer students and students who need to commute from home for 1 hour and 30 minutes or more.
International students: Students (except Accredited auditors and Auditors) enrolling in YNU. However, students who receive a grant of exceeding 100,000 yen per month from YNU, dispatching institution or other organizations are not eligible for residence.

No more than two years (No more than one year for international students; however, an extension of no more than one year may be permitted if there is a vacancy)

Expenses paid by residents

Boarding fee Monthly 5,700yen

※Residents are required to pay electricity, water, and other utility fees used in their daily life.

The boarding and maintenance fees are subject to change.

Room equipment

  • Bed, locker, desk with drawers on one side, swivel chair, desk light, window shade
  • vanity unit, toilet (equipped with ventilation), air conditioner
  • electrical equipment (20A capacity per room)
  • TV antenna terminal, buzzer
  • LAN Internet (the LAN cable should be prepared by each resident)
  • phone line


  • Bathrooms (four shower units per bathroom on each floor)
  • Kitchen room (one kitchen room per floor, equipped with a sink, gas stove, cupboard, gas water heater, and refrigerator)
  • Mail box corner (mail boxes for each resident at the entrance of residence halls)
  • Laundry rooms (separate laundry rooms for men and women on the first floor of the common service hall)
