The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China in Japan visited Yokohama National University.

On January 16th, Ambassador Wu Jianghao and Minister- Counsellor Du Kewei, along with officials from the Embassy's Education Section, visited YNU.

Firstly, the ambassador delegation visited the Education Culture Hall, where 30 Chinese international students eagerly awaited. During the exchange session with the students, the Ambassador conveyed New Year greetings, inquired about their daily lives and academic progress, and shared heartfelt messages of encouragement. It was a warm and engaging interaction, deepening the connection between the Ambassador and the students.

After the exchange session with the students, the ambassador delegation paid a courtesy visit to President Umehara and Vice President for Global Affairs Kabashima. President Umehara reflected on the longstanding history of collaboration between YNU and Chinese universities, highlighting the success of many graduates in the global community. Additionally, he expressed the university's desire to continue welcoming more outstanding international students with the support of the embassy. The Ambassador responded with reassuring words of full cooperation from the embassy, fostering a lively atmosphere for a dynamic exchange of ideas.

Subsequently, the ambassador delegation participated in a discussion session with researchers, where they inquired about the research topics and the ongoing exchange initiatives with China. The Ambassador expressed the hope that researchers would continue to contribute their findings to society in their respective fields, fostering expectations for ongoing collaboration and knowledge dissemination.

Finally, Professor Fudeyasu provided an introduction to the Typhoon Science and Technology Research Center. This sentiment underscores the importance of international cooperation in advancing scientific endeavors.
