Making Global Contributions! Joint YNU-JICA Special Needs Ed Training for Asia Region

Faculty of Education and Human Sciences' Program in Special Needs Education conducted training in special needs education in conjunction with JICA. The training, which took place from September 1, 2010 to September 28, 2010, invited concerned individuals in governments and educational institutions and visited a Special Needs School attached to YNU on September 15.

The party observed classes being held as they toured the school led by a Special Needs School teacher, which was followed by a lively Q&A. They even had school lunch together with students of the school, spending a very meaningful time there.

Japan's Special Needs Education is among the most advanced in the world and can contribute greatly to the way Special Needs Education is conducted in the as-yet developing Asian countries. The Japanese media showed great interest in global enterprises such as this, with NHK News covering the program.
