Thammasat University (Thailand) Visited YNU

On Thursday of May 21, 2015, Dean of Faculty of Engineering Prapat Wangskarn, Thammasat University (Hereafter TU, Thailand) and other 2 faculty members visited YNU.

TU was established in 1934 to have the secondary longest history in the country. It has originally been a university of laws, to be the authority on the academic field in Thailand. Many famous people in Thailand graduated from TU and also the spirit of respecting liberty and democracy has been kept and saved, because of its history which was involved in various political changes. This time TU visited YNU to have a meeting on research collaboration in the field of engineering.

In Conference Room No.1, Administration Bureau, Faculty of Environment & Information Sciences Professor Kazuyuki Hiratsuka, Assistant to the President led the discussion. Dean of Faculty of Engineering Hiroshi Fukutomi, Dean of Faculty of Urban Innovation Satoru Sadohara, Faculty of Urban Innovation Professor Hitoshi Yamada (ex-Executive Director and Vice-President), and Manager of International Office Ms. Yoko Ito participated to have practical exchange of opinions on an academic cooperation & collaboration between the two universities.

The discussion started and ended in a warm atmosphere, to become a fruitful opportunity to the both.
