The University of Economics and Business Vietnam National University, Hanoi, Vietnam visited YNU

On April 27th Friday, 2018, Rector Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Truc Le from the University of Economics and Business Vietnam National University, Hanoi, Vietnam visited YNU. Rector Le was welcomed by President Yuichi Hasebe, Executive Director and Vice President Fumihiko Nakamura, Dean of the College of Economics Professor Keiji Nagai, Dean of the College of Business Administration Professor Toshio Hara, Professor Yoshiki Matsui of the Faculty of International Social Sciences, International Office Manager Tomoko Takeuchi, and Ms. Thao, who graduated from the Graduate School of International Social Sciences, YNU in March 2018.

The University of Economics and Business Vietnam National University, Hanoi and YNU signed Academic Exchange Agreement in 2012 and it has extended adding clauses regarding student exchange in 2017. Both universities has an active collaboration through research cooperation and exchange of students. At the meeting, President Hasebe firstly made a welcome greeting. Rector Le expressed his ambitions as the new rector that he would like to expand cooperation with overseas universities. Especially for YNU, he proposed to have further cooperation mainly in 3 aspects: student exchange with a credit transfer system, faculty exchange such as giving lectures in each universities, and industry-university collaboration for exploring possibilities of conducting international internship and having scholarship. From YNU side, there were explanations regarding All-English Programs offered in the Graduate School of International Social Sciences and Global Doctoral Program for Academic Career Support (GDACS), which can support faculties to earn doctoral degree. Both universities agreed to have further cooperation in many aspects.

Through this visit, the further development of exchanges with the University of Economics and Business Vietnam National University, Hanoi is expected.
