Yokohama National University won the Japan Ryugaku (meaning "study abroad") Awards grand prize in the category of National and Public Universities of East Japan for 3 consecutive years and the prize in the category of Graduate schools of East Japan in 2019.
The Japan Ryugaku Awards to select Universities or vocational schools as a destination to be recommended to international students studying at Japanese Language Schools from the perspective of Japanese Language Schools, and this year is 8th time.
On August 3rd Saturday, the awards ceremony was held and Prof. Hiromi Kabashima, Executive Advisor to the President attended from YNU. Prof. Kabashima expressed the delight of winning the prize and mentioned that “It is great honor to receive the prestigious prize. 10 % of all students at YNU are international students from abroad. We are going to continue to promote exchanges with overseas universities and enhance support for international students in the future.”
This time, the prize we received based on high evaluations regarding support for international students and education contents. Taking this award-winning opportunity, we are going to enrich support for international students and education contents more than ever.
