Joint education visit group from China paid a courtesy visit to YNU

On December 10, Tuesday, 2019, 19 delegates led by WU Wenying, Principal of Beijing-Dublin International College (BDIC), Beijing University of Technology (BJUT) and General Manager TAGAYA and Ms. WANG of Global Education Service Co., Ltd. which arranged this visit, paid a courtesy visit to YNU. The delegation consists of Department of Degree Management & Postgraduate Education and Department of International Cooperation and Exchanges of the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China, Secretariat of China Education Association for International Exchange, and 13 universities. The visitors were welcomed by Prof. XU Haoyuan, International Strategy Organization and Special Advisor to the President, Prof. TANABU Motonari, International Strategy Section of International Strategy Organization and International Office Manager NITTA Tomoki.

In the courtesy visit, Prof. XU gave a welcome greeting and an introductory presentation about the university, and then the head of the delegation, Principal WU gave a greeting. Principal WU explained the purpose of this visit which is firstly to learn from Japanese national universities about management and initiatives and secondly to deepen the friendship and mutual understanding between Chinese and Japanese universities.

In the discussion, various positive questions were raised from delegations such as about the international strategy of YNU and the development of personnel resources, introduction of internationalization curriculum and coexistence with existing programs, the quality of classes offered by English and teacher recruitment, presence / absence of government regulation regarding management level foreign teachers, etc. Prof. XU and Prof. TANABU replied to those questions with some cases, it became very active discussions.

Through this visit, it is expected that the connection between China and YNU is further deepened.
