Indian researchers from 7 Indian institutions visited YNU

On December 16th Monday, 2019, 8 Indian researchers and 4 graduate level students from 7 Indian institutions listed as below visited YNU in relation to Japan-India YNU Symposium 2019. The visitors were welcomed by President HASEBE Yuichi, Prof. KAMINOYAMA Meguru, Prof. KUBOTA Yoshihiro, Prof. YOSHITAKE Hideaki and Assoc. Prof. NAKAMURA Kazuho from Faculty of Engineering, Prof. SUZUKI Atsushi from Faculty of Environment and Information Sciences and International Office Section Chief KURIHARA Atsushi.

The theme of Japan-India YNU Symposium 2019 which was “Development of Sustainable Environment/Energy Technologies in South India” and it was held on December 17th and 18th. The objective of this India-Japan joint seminar is to discuss the environment and energy technologies in future for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) with various experts from Indian and Japanese universities, governmental sections and industries.

In the meeting, the President HASEBE stated welcome greetings and referring the theme of the symposium the President mentioned that India is the leader of 21st century and YNU would like to further promote Japan-India collaboration as an important global partner. Followed by that, the participants from YNU and the Indian researchers introduced themselves and respective specialized fields one by one.

Through this visit and Japan-India YNU Symposium 2019, the further development of exchanges with Indian institutions is expected.
