Effective on May 8th, 2023, the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) will be reclassified as a class 5 infectious disease under the Act on the Prevention of Infectious Diseases and Medical Care for Patients with Infectious Diseases(Act No. 114 of 1998). In addition, as of the same date, the university will abolish the "YNU Action Plans to Prevent the Spread of the Novel Coronavirus (Ver. 3.2)”, terminate the measures based on this policy, and shift to measures in accordance with the School Health and Safety Act, according to the Enforcement of the Ministerial Ordinance on the Partial Revision of the School Health and Safety Act (Notification)(“5文科初第345号” dated April 28th, 2023). Thank you very much for your cooperation in preventing the spread of infection over a long period of time.
Since there is always a possibility that the novel coronavirus infection will be prevalent for the foreseeable future, please continue to take precautions to avoid infection. The risk of heat stroke is also on the rise. Please be aware of this when wearing masks.
