モデルナ社製ワクチンの異物混入にかかる本学の対応について

令和3年８月３１日、神奈川県でモデルナ社製ワクチンの一部に異物の混入が確認されたことの報道発表を受け、本学に納品されているワクチンを確認したところ、本学で使用する予定であったワクチンの一部が当該製造番号「３００５２８６」に該当することが判明いたしました。
Following the announcement that contamination in supplies of Moderna Inc's vaccine in Kanagawa Prefecture on August 31, 2021, we have found that some of the Moderna vaccines delivered to Yokohama National University the ones which is the same lot number as the contaminated ones--3005286.
本件について、厚生労働省から９月１日付で、「バイアルに混入した異物は、これまでに複数のロットでごくまれに発見されている製品のゴム栓様の異物である可能性が高いと考えられ、同一ロットの他のバイアルについては有効性及び安全性に問題はなく、当該ロットのワクチンの接種を差し控える必要はない 」と、通知がありました。
According to the announcement of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare on September 1, the foreign substance in the vials is most likely debris of rubber stopper that has been found in several lots of the product. In addition that there are no efficacy and safety concerns, no suspension of use is necessary.
このことを受け、本学においては、当該製造番号のワクチンを使用し、予定通りワクチン接種を行っていくこととしております。
We thus have decided to use the vaccine with the relevant serial number and will continue vaccination as scheduled.
本学においては、引き続き、ワクチンを注射器に充填する際に、薬剤師がバイアルの変色、異物の混入その他の異常がないかを目視で確認し、充填した後も別の薬剤師が注射器内に異物の混入がないか確認してまいります。
We will continue to do a visual inspection of vials for discoloration or foreign materials by pharmacist when filling the syringe with the vaccine and we will also double check the inside of syringes by another pharmacist if there are any foreign materials after filling.
